Proposals for TuColla-VA are now due by July 20, 2020.

On Saturday, Oct. 3rd, the SWCA-VA plans to hold its first tutor collaboration, TuColla-VA! We’re inviting tutors—individually, in pairs, in small groups—to present to their peers. The conference will be held at Piedmont Virginia Community College in Charlottesville. You can read about the conference in the Call for Proposals.

While we had planned a small fee [$5/tutor; $10/director], we have waived conference fees this year in recognition that this may be a tough financial year for many of us. Lunch will be provided. Proposals can be submitted here and are due July 20 (revised date).

If you're conducting research projects or proposing new initiatives to advance writing center research or professional development, consider applying for the SWCA Christine Cozzens Research Grant and Initiative Program (CCRGIP) Fall 2020 award.

The SWCA CCRGIP is designed to encourage collaboration among new and established centers, support professional development for writing center administrators and staff, and further writing center research and scholarship throughout the SWCA region.

The program awards up to $500 in grants per term. Visit the SWCA funding page for eligibility requirements and instructions to apply. The application deadline is July 15, 2020.

Send applications or questions directly to Lingshan Song (song00@mc.edu), Chair of the CCRGIP Selection Committee.
