2022-2023 SWCA HBCU Writing Center Mini-Grant Program

The SWCA Board has approved four $200 HBCU writing center mini grants for the 2022-2023 academic calendar year. These grants will be used to support the needs of the HBCUs within the region. The funds can be used toward writing center supplies, resources, and/or software that support the students we serve and the work we do in our spaces.

Eligibility Information
  • HBCU writing center or writing-related support service within the southeastern region

  • Completed mini grant application 

  • A statement (no more than 150 words) from writing center professional (director, coordinator, etc.) about use of funds (submitted as part of application)

  • SWCA membership (if applicant/institution is not a current member, a 3-year free membership can be offered). 

Submission Deadline: October 17, 2022

Award Decisions: November 1, 2022
