Summer Administrators Day
The Virginia Commonwealth University Writing Center will be hosting SWCA-VA’s annual Summer Administrators Day on June 5 from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Our theme is:
Gen P in the Writing Center Generation Pandemic (“Gen P”) are the cohort of students whose high school education was significantly disrupted by COVID-19. As these students make their way to and through our campuses, what are their unique needs? And how might writing centers respond? This SWCA-VA summer directors meeting will focus on understanding the Gen P experience and developing best practices for working with Gen P students and student employees.

Sponsored by the Virginia network of the SWCA, the event is free. Morning coffee and lunch will be provided. Membership in the SWCA (Southeastern Writing Center Association) is encouraged but not required.
